Kieron Brennan, Chair of our local group (left) had the pleasure of congratulating Cllr Andrew Eyre (right) on his election as Mayor of Sevenoaks and thanking him for selecting our local Diabetes UK group as his Charity of the Year.  We look forward to welcoming the Mayor and Mayoress of Sevenoaks to our next group meeting on 14th June with Louise Walker, Diabetes Specialist Dietitian.

Cllr Eyre said; “I want to highlight the issue of diabetes, its effect on lifestyle for sufferers and how we can also help everyone understand the diet and exercise choices we can all make to improve our own health and I will be working closely with Kieron Brennan the Chairman of Diabetes UK in Sevenoaks. I also want to continue the excellent work by Cllr Arnold in talking to so many volunteer and community organisations. The role of Town Mayor aims to make the Town Council more accessible and understandable to the Town’s rate payers.”
